How do I clean a red wine stain on carpet? A simple mixture of 1 part vinegar and 1 part water can be used to easily clean red wine stains on carpets. Just pour the vinegar solution on the stain and blot with a clean rag and apply presure for 1-3 minutes. Repeat as necessary, and remember to never rub a stain on carpet, always blot with a clean cloth.
